The Beauty of Spray Tanning
Did you know that prolonged exposure to the sun or indoor tanning beds can cause a variety of potentially dangerous problems? It's common knowledge that the ultraviolet rays produced by both the sun and indoor tanning equipment can lead to skin cancer, including malignant melanoma. This is a condition that can be fatal. While many people still tan the old-fashioned way, many others are not willing to risk their lives for darker skin. For them, there's an innovation called spray tanning.
Spray or airbrush tanning uses a sunless tanning liquid which is sprayed onto the skin using either a special booth or airbrush machine. Most tanning salons around the nation offer this type of tanning as an alternative to their tanning beds. The sunless tanner used in these machines is top quality, and is designed to give your skin a natural tan glow without any danger. While there are plenty of sunless tanners on the market today, you'll find the best quality tan is done via airbrush at a salon. The closest thing to a professional airbrush tan at home (without your own airbrush machine) are the spray products that use an extremely fine mist. One popular and affordable product of this nature that can be found in most drugstores is Sally Hansen Airbrush Body Tanner Spray.
To get the most natural and attractive tan possible, be sure to shower and exfoliate before applying the sunless tanner. There are body scrubs and exfoliants made especially for pre-tan purposes. When you exfoliate, dead skin is removed. This leaves the skin smooth and ready for the product. If you fail to exfoliate properly, you may find that your spray tan is blotchy or uneven. Make sure to moisturize rough areas like feet, elbows and knees to avoid these areas from turning out too dark. After the application of the spray tan, allow the product to dry thoroughly before getting dressed. Most products of this nature dry in about five minutes or less, which is a lot faster than traditional sunless tan lotion.
Spray tanning is fast, safe and easy. Whether you go to a tanning salon or spray your tan on at home, you'll most likely love the results. You get a bronzed body without any sunburn or risk. Most spray tans last about a week, and can be reapplied at necessary to keep color looking fresh and beautiful.
